History

A group of free thinkers who all shared the inspiration to provide the school, community and world with positive change and meaningful connections paved an open road. Passionate students needed experience and direction for the future, the community needed inspiration and hope, and the less fortunate needed help. AMP gave opportunities for the movement of their innovative ideas. The power of group support helped them realize what force they could commend in their environments. With everyone representing key parts of the vehicle, as an artist, organizer, designer, musician, business student, and visionary, their simple Sunday meetings branched out into all areas of the community. From art and music events at the school courtyard to large venues around the city, the AMP group broke out their vision to diverse groups in the community. With AMP’s emanating charisma and seats for endless positions, the word had spread and crowds became influenced to join the movement that reached out to their need for purpose.

The Aloha Movement Project is a breakthrough educational program, founded at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in January of 2008. This program has been designed in such a way that it can be easily implemented into any college or university environment. AMP is specifically designed to utilize all higher education resources in a manner that allows students to quickly and easily organize, expand, and give back to their community.

The Aloha Movement Project is a collaboration of students, musicians, artists, and community activists who work together to provide a new platform for expression to their community. By creating a collaborative platform for artist and musicians, AMP is creating a new way of bringing creativity to the masses.

AMP seeks to give back to the community by supporting local artists and musicians and providing students and schools with viable education programs. AMP allows students to utilize their major projects within their respective college to implement their ideas. Further, it provides individuals the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the artist community and educate themselves with the business model of the AMP collaborative arts movement.

AMP has developed a formula for university students to become leaders within their school, to not only gain priceless professional experience, but to make money while benefiting the community.
